Over the past decade, the ACM International Conference on Distributed and Event-based Systems (DEBS) has become the premier venue for academia and industry to discuss cutting-edge research of event-based computing related to Big Data, AI/ML, IoT and Distributed Systems. The objectives of the ACM International Conference on Distributed and Event‐Based Systems (DEBS) are to provide a forum dedicated to the dissemination of original research, the discussion of practical insights, and the reporting of experiences relevant to distributed systems and event‐based computing. The conference aims at providing a forum for academia and industry to exchange ideas.
Demonstrations present first-hand experience with research prototypes or operational systems. Demonstrations also provide opportunities to exchange ideas gained from implementing event-based systems and to obtain feedback from expert users. Demonstration submissions are welcomed in any of the areas identified in the scope of the conference (see https://2022.debs.org for the detailed scope of the conference).
Demonstration submissions describe the objectives and findings addressed by the demonstration, in 2-4 pages, following the ACM format for the conference proceedings. The demonstration submissions are single-blind. All demo submissions should have a prefix “Demo:” in their title. All submissions are strongly encouraged, but not required, to provide in their submission a URL to a live online version of their demo. Alternatively, authors can provide a URL (e.g, Youtube) to a video showcasing the main demo features (this is intended for the sole purpose of submission review and selection). Demonstrations that make their source code freely available are especially encouraged. Accepted contributions will be published (excluding the appendix) by ACM and disseminated through the ACM Digital Library.
Poster presentations offer researchers an excellent forum to present and discuss preliminary research findings as well as novel and original ideas related to DEBS. Poster submissions describe ideas, approaches, and possibly preliminary findings, following the ACM format for the conference proceedings using up to 2 pages. Poster submissions are also single-blind. All poster submissions should have a prefix “Poster:” Accepted contributions will be published by ACM and disseminated through the ACM Digital Library.
All deadlines are AoE (Anywhere on Earth) timezone
Submissions to the poster and demo track will be evaluated by the Poster and Demo Track Program Committee. The authors of accepted papers will be given a choice between different copyright agreements, according to the recent changes in the ACM policy. The options will include opportunities for open access as well as the traditional ACM copyright agreement.
Submitted papers are required to adhere to the two-column "sigconf" ACM conference proceeding style and consist of a maximum of 4 pages (references should fit within the 4 pages). Templates and examples in LaTeX and various versions of Microsoft Word are available for download from the 2017 ACM Master Article Template page.
Papers may be submitted via CMT via the following link: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/DEBS2022 (under the Poster and Demo Track).
If you have any questions, please contact the Poster & Demo PC co-chairs, Daniele Dell’Aglio and Asterios Katsifodimos.
